Keep Sample

Keep Sample (Retained Sample) is a sample kept by the seller or buyer in foreign trade for future reference, used to record the quality standards, craftsmanship details, or packaging style of the ordered product. Typically, after the Approval Sample or Production Sample is mutually accepted, one or both parties retain a copy as a basis for subsequent bulk production, delivery inspection, or handling quality disputes. Usage scenarios include: after order confirmation, before production, pre-shipment quality comparison, and verification during customer complaints. Precautions: The keep sample must be signed and confirmed by both parties with the date and order number noted, and stored properly to prevent deterioration or loss; if the product material changes over time, it should be sealed and kept away from light. Difference from 'Approval Sample': The approval sample is the sample approved by the customer for production, while the keep sample is a retained copy for reference, which may or may not be identical; Difference from 'Production Sample': The production sample is drawn from bulk goods, while the keep sample is not necessarily from bulk goods. The keep sample is key evidence for resolving quality disputes and must be managed properly.
