Repair Notification

Repair Notification is a common term in foreign trade, international engineering contracting, and equipment export. It refers to a formal written notice sent by one party (usually the buyer or owner) to the other party (seller, manufacturer, or contractor) upon discovering defects, damage, or non-compliance of goods, equipment, or works, requesting repair, replacement, or remedial measures. Usage scenarios include: equipment failure during warranty period, damage found during arrival inspection, problems found during installation and commissioning, etc. Notes: A repair notification should clearly describe the fault, time of occurrence, scope of impact, deadline for repair, and retain relevant evidence (photos, inspection reports). It differs from a 'Claim Notification': repair notification focuses on requesting repair, while a claim notification may involve compensation or return of goods. It also differs from a 'Warranty Notification', which emphasizes asserting rights under warranty terms. The contract should specify the notification method, time limit, and consequences of failure to notify, to avoid losing rights.
