Customer Audit

Customer Audit refers to on-site inspection and evaluation of a supplier's factory, quality system, social responsibility, production capacity, etc., conducted by an overseas customer or a third-party agency entrusted by the customer. It commonly occurs before order confirmation or during cooperation, and serves as an important basis for customers to place or renew orders. Use scenarios include: new supplier admission, annual review, and special audits initiated by customers due to quality issues or complaints. Precautions: enterprises need to prepare documents in advance (such as ISO certificates, inspection records), on-site management (5S, safety), and employee interview training; failure to pass the audit may lead to order cancellation or downgrading. Difference from 'factory inspection': factory inspection often refers to a compliance check of the factory by the customer or an inspection agency, with more emphasis on social responsibility and production capacity; customer audit has a broader scope and may cover quality, environment, anti-terrorism, etc. Difference from 'goods inspection': goods inspection targets a specific batch of products, while customer audit targets systems and processes.
