Tissue Paper

In foreign trade, Tissue Paper usually refers to a thin, semi-transparent paper commonly used for packaging, lining, gift wrapping, and filling for clothing, shoes, and hats. It has a low grammage (generally 17-30 gsm) and features softness, easy creasing, and printability. Usage scenarios include: inner packaging of export products, shoe stuffing, moisture-proof lining paper for hardware, and filling for handicrafts. Notes: grammage, size, color, whether printing is required, whether environmental certification (such as FSC) is required, and packaging method (rolls or sheets) must be specified; if used for food contact, it must comply with FDA or EU food-grade standards. It is often used interchangeably with 'thin paper,' but strictly speaking, tissue paper tends to be semi-transparent, high-toughness thin paper; it differs from 'toilet paper' in that the latter is household paper and is not used for industrial packaging. In addition, different customers may understand 'Tissue Paper' differently—some mean thin paper, some mean tissue paper—so it is recommended to clarify specifications in the contract.
