Quality Manager

Quality Manager is a dedicated position in foreign trade enterprises responsible for product quality management and control, commonly found in manufacturing export enterprises or trading companies. Core responsibilities include: formulating and implementing quality standards (such as ISO 9001, customer-specific standards), supervising quality inspections during production (IQC/IPQC/OQC), handling customer quality complaints, coordinating third-party inspections (such as SGS, BV), and driving quality improvement. In foreign trade scenarios, the Quality Manager needs to communicate closely with sales staff, production departments, and foreign customers to ensure products meet contract requirements and importing country regulations (such as CE, FDA). Note: Unlike QC (Quality Control Inspector), the Quality Manager focuses more on system management and decision-making; compared to QA (Quality Assurance), their responsibilities are more execution- and process-control-oriented. When using this term, its scope of authority should be clearly defined to avoid confusion with the Production Manager's responsibilities.
