Print Sample

Print Sample is a professional term in foreign trade industries such as textiles, apparel, and printing processing. It refers to a sample made to confirm the color, pattern, size, position, and craftsmanship effect of a printed design. Usually, the buyer provides the original artwork or design drawing, and the seller makes the sample and sends it to the buyer for confirmation. The print sample finally confirmed by the buyer is called an 'Approved Print Sample,' which serves as the basis for bulk production. Usage scenarios include: new product development, order confirmation, pre-production quality checks, etc. Notes: The print sample must clearly indicate color numbers (e.g., PANTONE color card numbers), pattern repeat size, printing position, and process (e.g., offset printing, watermark printing, transfer printing, etc.), and confirmation records should be kept to avoid disputes caused by bulk goods not matching the sample. The difference from 'Color Sample' is that a color sample only confirms color, while a print sample confirms the overall pattern effect; the difference from 'Pre-Production Sample' is that a pre-production sample is a finished product sample, while a print sample may only be a semi-finished or cut-piece sample of the printed part.
