Site Survey

Site Survey refers to the on-site inspection and recording conducted by the buyer, seller, insurance company, or inspection agency at the location of the goods, port of shipment, port of destination, or project site in foreign trade, in order to verify the condition of goods, transportation conditions, storage environment, or project progress. It is commonly used in bulk commodity transactions, equipment installation, international engineering contracting, and cargo insurance claims. Its core purpose is to obtain first-hand information as a basis for delivery compliance, liability allocation, or claims. Precautions: Before the survey, the scope of authorization must be clarified to avoid leaking trade secrets; the survey report should be signed and confirmed by all parties, with photos, videos, and other evidence attached; if legal disputes are involved, ensure that the survey procedures comply with the contract or relevant laws. Unlike 'Inspection', site survey focuses more on on-site observation and factual recording and does not necessarily issue a formal inspection certificate; compared with 'Loading Supervision', the scope of the survey is broader and is not limited to the loading stage.
