Participants who visited parks at least once a week reported 20% lower stress levels compared to those who rarely went. Interestingly, the duration of each visit mattered more than the frequency. Even a short 10-minute walk in a park was effective, but only if it involved some physical activity, like walking or cycling. Sitting passively on a bench had little effect. The researchers concluded that active engagement with nature is key.
