Rotation Confirmation Page

The Rotation Confirmation Page is a page or email body in international trade, especially in bulk commodity trades or those involving multiple shipments and multiple ports of loading, through which the buyer and seller confirm the cargo shipping rotation arrangement via email. Rotation usually refers to the sequence in which a vessel calls at multiple ports, or the shipment sequence of multiple lots under the same contract. This confirmation page is generally issued by the seller or carrier, listing key information such as the shipping dates, quantities, vessel names, and bill of lading numbers for each lot/port, and requires the buyer to reply by email to confirm. Use scenarios include: under FOB or CFR terms where the buyer nominates the vessel and the seller needs to load cargo in the agreed sequence; or confirmation of the delivery schedule for multiple shipments under a long-term contract. Notes: The confirmation page must clearly specify the rotation sequence, time nodes, and liability for breach, to avoid demurrage charges or default caused by sequence changes; unlike a 'Shipping Notice,' the Rotation Confirmation Page focuses more on the sequence arrangement for multiple lots/multiple ports rather than a single shipment notice. The difference from a 'Booking Confirmation' is that the latter only confirms space, while the Rotation Confirmation Page involves the finalization of the overall shipping sequence.
