Contract Quality Guarantee Report

A Contract Quality Guarantee Report is a written document issued by the seller or a third-party inspection agency in foreign trade to certify that the goods under the contract comply with the agreed quality standards. It typically appears before shipment or at delivery, serving as proof of the seller's fulfillment of quality obligations and as an important basis for the buyer's payment, customs clearance, or claims. Usage scenarios include: when a letter of credit requires its submission, when the buyer designates an inspection agency to issue it, or when the contract stipulates it as preliminary evidence for quality disputes. Notes: This report differs from an Inspection Certificate—the former focuses on the seller's quality guarantee statement, while the latter focuses on factual records of inspection results. It also differs from a Quality Guarantee, which is a long-term commitment, whereas the report is for a specific batch. Additionally, the report content must strictly align with the contract's quality clauses, or it may constitute a discrepancy.
