Insurance Benefit

Precautions: The insured must report the claim promptly, provide claim documents (such as the policy, invoice, bill of lading, inspection report), and observe the claim time limit (usually two years); the insurance benefit amount is limited to the insured amount and the actual loss, and may involve a deductible. Distinction from other terms: Insurance benefit is the act of the insurer fulfilling its indemnity obligation, while insurance premium is the fee paid by the applicant; insurance claim is the request made by the insured, and insurance benefit is the insurer's response. Furthermore, insurance benefit differs from 'compensation' or 'indemnity' in trade terms, as it specifically refers to payment under an insurance contract.
