Participants who lived within 300 meters of a park reported 22% lower levels of stress and anxiety. Interestingly, the effect was stronger for people who visited the park at least twice a week, rather than just living nearby. The study also found that community gardens had a similar benefit, but only if they were actively maintained. So, it's not just about having green areas, but engaging with them regularly.
