Double-Sided Tape

Double-sided tape refers to tape coated with pressure-sensitive adhesive on both sides of a backing material. It typically consists of a backing (such as tissue paper, PET, foam, non-woven fabric, etc.), an adhesive (such as acrylic, rubber, hot melt), and a release liner. In foreign trade, this term is commonly used in industries such as adhesive products, packaging materials, electronic accessories, and automotive parts. Usage scenarios include: quoting to customers, confirming sample specifications, signing purchase contracts, arranging production and quality inspection, customs declaration and inspection, etc. Precautions: It is necessary to specify parameters such as backing type, adhesive system, thickness, width, length, initial tack, holding power, temperature resistance, and weather resistance, as different parameters directly affect price and application; also distinguish double-sided adhesive from double-sided tape (often used interchangeably, but strictly speaking, double-sided adhesive is the adhesive, while double-sided tape is the finished product), transfer tape (without backing), single-sided tape, etc. In foreign trade, it is recommended to specify the specific model, specifications, packaging method, and acceptance standards in the contract to avoid disputes caused by ambiguous terminology.
