Verification Sheet

The Verification Sheet (核销单), formally known as the Export Proceeds Verification Sheet, was an important certificate under China's foreign exchange administration system. It was uniformly printed and issued by the State Administration of Foreign Exchange (SAFE) for export enterprises to process export proceeds verification procedures. Usage scenarios: When declaring exports to customs, export enterprises needed to submit the verification sheet; after the goods were exported, they used the verification sheet and customs declaration form to handle proceeds collection at the bank, and then went to SAFE for verification. Precautions: The verification sheet had to be consistent with the customs declaration form, invoice, bill of exchange, and other documents; since 2012, China has gradually abolished the export proceeds verification sheet, replacing it with new systems such as depositing export income abroad, though it may still be encountered in historical transactions. Distinction from other terms: The verification sheet is different from the customs declaration form (a customs supervision certificate) and the export invoice (a commercial document); it is specifically used for foreign exchange verification and is a foreign exchange administration tool. Foreign trade practitioners need to understand its historical role and current replacement policies to avoid confusion.
