Customer Compensation Supplier

"Repair Customer Compensates Supplier" is not a standard international trade term (such as Incoterms). It refers to a situation in after-sales repair where, due to customer-related reasons (e.g., misoperation, providing incorrect information, failure to use according to instructions), the product is damaged or repair costs increase, and the customer must pay compensation or reimbursement to the supplier. This is common in equipment exports, machinery, electronics, and other fields requiring after-sales service. Usage scenarios include: the customer asks the supplier for repair, but the fault lies with the customer; or the customer's improper self-repair causes the supplier to incur additional costs. Notes: The contract should clearly define responsibility allocation and compensation standards to avoid ambiguity; compensation usually covers parts costs, labor costs, transportation costs, etc.; it is the opposite of "Supplier Compensates Customer," where the supplier bears costs due to quality issues. The difference lies in the responsible party and the direction of compensation. This term emphasizes customer fault, meaning the supplier is not obligated to repair for free, but a discount may be negotiated.
