Repair Acceptance

Repair Acceptance refers to the process in cross-border trade where, when goods are damaged or do not meet quality standards, the buyer or a third-party inspection agency inspects and confirms the repair work completed by the seller. This term is commonly used in after-sales repair, return for repair, and repair services within the warranty period. Usage scenarios include: the buyer returns faulty goods to the seller for repair, and after repair is completed, the seller notifies the buyer for acceptance; or the seller sends technicians to the buyer's location for repair, and after completion, the buyer signs a repair acceptance form. Notes: 1) Acceptance standards, acceptance period, and acceptance methods (such as on-site acceptance or video acceptance) should be clearly defined; 2) Repair acceptance is not the same as original goods acceptance, it only covers the repaired part, but may involve overall performance testing; 3) If acceptance fails, provisions for re-repair or return and refund should be agreed upon. Difference from other terms: Repair Acceptance emphasizes confirmation of repair results, while Quality Acceptance is for new goods, and Final Acceptance usually refers to overall project delivery. In foreign trade contracts, the process and documents for repair acceptance should be clearly defined to avoid disputes.
