The Contract Quality Guarantee Laboratory Form is a laboratory test report form attached to a contract in international trade, provided by the exporter or manufacturer. Its core function is to prove that the goods have undergone laboratory testing in accordance with the quality standards stipulated in the contract before shipment, and to record the test items, methods, results, and conclusions. It is typically used in industries such as chemicals, agricultural products, and minerals that require verification of physical and chemical indicators, serving as one of the documents for letter of credit negotiation or as a basis in quality disputes. Precautions: The form must be consistent with the testing standards specified in the contract (e.g., ISO, ASTM), the testing institution must be qualified, and the date should be earlier than the shipment date; if the importer designates a laboratory, it must be issued by the designated party. The difference from a 'Certificate of Quality' is that the latter can be issued by official or third-party institutions, while this form focuses more on the raw data records of the manufacturer's internal laboratory, with relatively weaker evidentiary value, often requiring supplementary third-party reports.
