Rotation Result is a professional term in international ocean container shipping, specifically referring to the final confirmation information sent by the shipping company or its agent via email to the booking party (freight forwarder or direct customer) after the vessel's departure, regarding the actual loading positions and rotation sequence of containers. This term is commonly used on routes involving multiple port calls, where when the same batch of cargo is destined for different discharge ports, the shipping company must arrange the physical positions of containers on board according to the 'rotation' rule (i.e., the vessel's port call sequence) to ensure that cargo for earlier discharge ports is not blocked by cargo for later discharge ports. The email rotation result typically includes the vessel name and voyage number, bill of lading number, container number, discharge port, and corresponding loading position (such as bay and tier). Usage scenarios are mostly freight forwarders inquiring with the shipping company or the shipping company proactively notifying. Notes: The result is final; once issued, changes require re-stowage and may incur costs; unlike the 'stowage plan', the rotation result focuses more on the rationality of the discharge sequence. The difference from a 'shipping notice' is that a shipping notice only informs that the cargo has been loaded, while the rotation result specifies the exact position and discharge sequence. Foreign trade practitioners should arrange destination port pickup and inland transportation connections accordingly.
