Clear Tape

Clear tape in foreign trade typically refers to transparent carton sealing tape made with BOPP (biaxially oriented polypropylene) as the backing material, coated with water-based or solvent-based pressure-sensitive adhesive. Common widths are 48mm, 60mm, and 72mm, with thicknesses of 40-50 microns. Usage scenarios include carton sealing, express packaging, office and industrial fixing. Precautions: First, specify specifications (width, thickness, length, core inner diameter) to avoid delivery discrepancies caused by merely writing 'clear tape'; second, distinguish 'clear tape' from 'carton sealing tape'—the latter emphasizes high-strength adhesion, while the former may refer to thin office-grade tape; third, pay attention to environmental requirements (such as ROHS, REACH) and adhesion testing standards (initial tack, holding power). Compared with 'masking tape' and 'double-sided tape', clear tape emphasizes transparent backing and versatility, but its weather resistance and tensile strength are lower than specialty tapes. In foreign trade quotations, specify meters per roll, paper core weight, packaging method (e.g., 6 rolls/shrink wrap), and minimum order quantity.
