Offset Printing

Offset printing is an indirect lithographic printing technique widely used in commercial printing, packaging, books and periodicals, etc. Its principle is that the image on the printing plate is first transferred to a rubber blanket and then to the substrate, hence the name 'offset'. In foreign trade, this term is commonly found in order negotiations, contract terms, or technical specifications for printing equipment, consumables, packaging products, and books and periodicals. Usage scenarios include: customers requiring offset printing for product packaging, manuals, or brochures; exporting printing presses or inks where the applicable printing method must be specified. Notes: It must be distinguished from 'gravure', 'flexo', and 'digital' printing. Offset printing is suitable for large-volume, high-quality paper printing, but the cost is relatively high for small batches. In foreign trade contracts, the printing method, color standards (such as Pantone), paper type, and delivery lead time should be clearly specified. In addition, different countries have different requirements for environmentally friendly inks, which must be confirmed in advance.
