Bottom Board

Bottom Board in foreign trade usually refers to the bottom support board of cargo packaging (such as wooden crates, pallets, containers), and is also used to describe the bottom substrate of mechanical, electronic equipment and other products. Usage scenarios include: specifying the material of the bottom board in packaging terms (such as plywood, solid wood, plastic), requiring reinforcement of the bottom board during transportation to prevent moisture and shock, and indicating the dimensions and load-bearing capacity of the bottom board in product specifications. Precautions: If it is a wooden bottom board, it must comply with ISPM15 fumigation standards, otherwise it may be rejected by the importing country; the load-bearing capacity of the bottom board must match the weight of the goods to avoid collapse during transportation; the difference from 'Pallet' is that a pallet is an independent handling tool, while a bottom board is part of the packaging or product. The difference from 'Dunnage' is that dunnage is used to fill gaps, while the bottom board provides primary support. In foreign trade contracts, the material, dimensions, load-bearing capacity, and treatment method of the bottom board should be clearly specified to prevent disputes.
