"Repair Customer Environmental Compensation" is not a standard international trade term (such as Incoterms), but a descriptive expression in foreign trade practice referring to environmental compensation liability arising from the repair process. Its core meaning is: when an exported product requires repair due to quality issues, if improper handling during the repair process or disposal of repair waste causes environmental pollution, the customer (buyer) has the right to demand compensation from the seller (exporter) for the resulting environmental losses or cleanup costs. It is commonly used in regions with strict environmental regulations such as the EU and North America, especially involving electronic, mechanical, and chemical products. Notes: 1) The contract should clearly specify the trigger conditions, liability allocation, and compensation cap for environmental compensation; 2) It should be distinguished from "product liability compensation" — the latter focuses on personal injury and property damage caused by product defects, while this term focuses on environmental violations; 3) Unlike "repair liability clauses," this term emphasizes the external cost transfer of environmental damage.
