Repair Agreement

A Repair Agreement is a common legal document in foreign trade, referring to a written agreement between two parties regarding repair services for goods, equipment, or products. It is typically used when exported equipment malfunctions and the seller or a third-party service provider offers repair, replacement parts, or technical support. Usage scenarios include: repairs within the after-sales warranty period, paid repairs outside the warranty period, and cross-border equipment maintenance. Precautions: It is necessary to specify the scope of repair, cost bearing, division of responsibilities, spare parts supply, repair cycle, transportation and tariff responsibilities (such as temporary import and export). Unlike 'warranty clauses,' a warranty is a guarantee clause in a contract, whereas a repair agreement is an independent contract that can cover services outside the warranty. Compared with a 'service agreement,' a repair agreement focuses more on restoration rather than continuous service.
