In foreign trade, it often serves as a contract annex or quality basis, binding suppliers' production and inspection. Usage scenarios include: customers specifying that products must comply with a certain industry standard (such as ASTM, ISO, DIN), bidding requirements, customs or commodity inspection references. Precautions: Industry standards may be stricter than national standards, and the version number and year must be clearly specified; industry standards differ across countries and should be confirmed in advance; standard updates may lead to cost changes. Difference from 'National Standard': National standards are formulated by the government, while industry standards are formulated by industry organizations. Difference from 'Enterprise Standard': Enterprise standards apply only to a single enterprise, while industry standards are widely accepted.
