Order Specifications

Order Specifications are core terms in a foreign trade contract or order, referring to the buyer's detailed technical requirements and descriptions for the purchased goods, including but not limited to material, dimensions, color, weight, packaging, performance parameters, technical standards, etc. They usually serve as an attachment to the contract or part of the order body, and are the basis for the seller's production, inspection, and delivery, as well as key evidence for resolving quality disputes. Usage scenarios cover inquiry, quotation, contract signing, production follow-up, and inspection. Notes: Specifications must be clear and quantifiable, avoiding vague expressions; if the buyer provides specifications, the seller must confirm in writing; specification changes require written consent from both parties, otherwise it may constitute a breach of contract. Unlike commercial terms such as 'order quantity' and 'unit price,' order specifications focus on the technical level and are closely related to but more specific than 'quality clauses.' Difference: specifications are technical descriptions, while quality standards are the basis for conformity judgment; specifications focus on the product itself, while packaging specifications are listed separately.
