Original Order refers to the purchase order first issued by the buyer to the seller without any modification or change, serving as the foundational document of the transaction. In foreign trade, it typically includes core terms such as product description, quantity, unit price, trade terms, payment method, and delivery date. Usage scenarios include: quotation confirmation before contract signing, basis for opening letters of credit, production scheduling, and reference benchmark for subsequent modifications. Notes: Once confirmed by both parties, the original order is legally binding; any subsequent modifications (such as quantity, price, delivery date) must be made through an Amended Order or Change Order and cannot directly override the original order; unlike a Repeat Order, the original order is the first transaction, while a repeat order is a re-purchase based on the original terms; unlike a Proforma Invoice, which is the seller's quotation, the original order is the buyer's formal purchasing intent.
