It is typically used in contracts for large equipment, complete plant projects, or long-term supply agreements, where the buyer often requires the seller to submit a quality assurance plan and accept supervision. Precautions: The activity should clearly define the quality guarantee period, inspection standards, acceptance methods, and responsibility allocation. Unlike 'quality control,' quality assurance focuses on providing confidence, emphasizing process prevention and system guarantees, while quality control focuses on specific inspection and correction. Compared with 'quality inspection,' its scope is broader, covering systems and processes. Foreign trade practitioners need to specify in the contract the activity content, frequency, cost bearing, and handling of nonconformities to avoid disputes caused by ambiguous standards.
