Interestingly, those who lived within 300 meters of a park reported 20% lower stress levels. However, the effect was stronger for people who actually visited the park weekly, rather than just having one nearby. The study also found that community gardens, though smaller, had a more significant social benefit, as they encouraged interaction among neighbors. So, while large parks are great for recreation, small green areas might be more crucial for building social bonds.
