Good morning, everyone. Today we're going to discuss the impact of urban green spaces on mental health. A recent study conducted in Melbourne followed 1,000 adults over five years. Participants who lived within 300 meters of a park or garden reported significantly lower levels of stress and anxiety. Interestingly, the size of the green space mattered less than its accessibility. Even small pocket parks had a positive effect, provided they were well-maintained and had benches for resting. The study also found that people who visited these spaces at least once a week showed a 20% reduction in symptoms of depression, compared to those who rarely went outside.
