Pallet Packing

Pallet packing refers to a unitized packaging method in which goods are neatly stacked on a pallet and secured with stretch film, strapping bands, etc., forming a unit that is convenient for forklift handling. It is widely used in sea, air, and land transportation, and is especially suitable for container shipping, as it can significantly improve loading and unloading efficiency and reduce cargo damage. Use cases include: full-container-load or less-than-container-load exports, warehouses requiring mechanized handling, and goods with high requirements for moisture protection and anti-scattering. Precautions: pallet material (wooden pallets require fumigation and the IPPC mark), pallet dimensions must match the internal dimensions of the container (e.g., 1200×1000mm, 1100×1100mm), goods must not exceed the pallet edge, the center of gravity must be stable, and the stretch film must be sufficiently strong. Compared with "bare packing," pallet packing is more conducive to mechanical operations; compared with "wooden crate packing," it is lighter and lower in cost, but offers weaker protection. If a foreign trade contract or letter of credit requires "Pallet Packing," it is necessary to specify the pallet type, dimensions, whether fumigation is required, and the quantity per pallet, so as to avoid refusal of payment due to discrepancies.
