Mixed Order

A Mixed Order refers to a single order that contains multiple products of different specifications, models, colors, or materials, and may even involve a combination of goods from different categories or with different delivery times. It is commonly used when customers consolidate several small orders into one large order to simplify the procurement process, reduce shipping costs, or enjoy volume discounts. Use cases include: a customer purchasing different styles within the same product line, or buying complementary items together (such as clothing and accessories). Precautions: unit prices, quantities, packaging requirements, and delivery times for each item must be clearly specified to avoid customs clearance or quality inspection issues caused by mixed loading; if different HS codes are involved, separate customs declarations are required. The difference from a 'partial shipment order' is that a mixed order emphasizes product diversity rather than shipment batches; compared with a 'blanket order,' a mixed order is usually executed under the same contract but with more varied items. Foreign trade practitioners should list each item in the PI and confirm whether partial delivery or substitutes are allowed.
