Form Q (China-Peru)

FORM Q is a certificate of origin under the Free Trade Agreement between China and Peru, officially known as the 'Certificate of Origin under the China-Peru Free Trade Agreement'. It certifies that goods originate from China or Peru so that the importer can enjoy the preferential tariff rate (usually zero or reduced tariff) in the other country. Usage scenario: When a Chinese exporter ships goods to a Peruvian customer and wants the Peruvian importer to enjoy tariff preferences, it must apply to China Customs or the CCPIT for issuance of FORM Q. Notes: The certificate must be issued before shipment or within the prescribed time after shipment (usually before shipment or within 30 days after shipment), and the goods must meet origin rules (such as wholly obtained, regional value content, etc.). Difference from an ordinary Certificate of Origin (CO): A CO only proves origin and does not grant tariff preferences, while FORM Q is a preferential certificate of origin that can reduce or exempt tariffs. Unlike FORM A (GSP), FORM Q applies only to the China-Peru FTA. Enterprises must ensure document consistency to avoid certificate rejection or loss of preferential treatment.
