Form X (China-Costa Rica)

FORM X is a certificate of origin under the China-Costa Rica Free Trade Agreement, officially titled 'Certificate of Origin under the China-Costa Rica Free Trade Agreement.' This certificate is used to prove that Chinese products exported to Costa Rica comply with the origin rules of the China-Costa Rica FTA, thereby enjoying tariff preferences. Usage scenario: When Chinese exporters export goods to Costa Rica, they need to apply to the Chinese Customs or CCPIT for the issuance of FORM X, and the importer uses this certificate to apply for tariff reduction or exemption at Costa Rican customs. Notes: The certificate must be issued before or at the time of export, and the information must be consistent with the commercial invoice, bill of lading, etc.; the product must meet the origin criteria (such as wholly obtained, regional value content, etc.); the certificate is valid for 12 months from the date of issuance. Differences from other terms: FORM X applies only to China-Costa Rica trade, while FORM A applies to GSP, FORM E applies to the China-ASEAN FTA, FORM F applies to the China-Chile FTA, etc. Foreign trade practitioners should accurately distinguish them to avoid misuse that prevents them from enjoying preferences.
