Honeycomb Board

Honeycomb Board is an eco-friendly packaging material made from kraft paper or recycled paper processed into a honeycomb-shaped core layer, with face paper laminated on both the top and bottom surfaces. Its structure mimics a honeycomb, offering advantages such as high strength, high compression resistance, good cushioning, light weight, and recyclability. It is widely used in export packaging for furniture, appliances, logistics pallets, building partitions, etc. In foreign trade, this term often appears in packaging requirements, material specifications, and environmental clauses. It should be distinguished from 'Corrugated Board': corrugated board has a wavy core layer, while honeycomb board has a hexagonal honeycomb core, providing higher compression strength and being more suitable for heavy or precision products. Notes: Customers may specify honeycomb aperture, board thickness, grammage, and environmental certifications (e.g., FSC); when quoting, it is necessary to clarify whether face paper is included, the core paper material, and moisture-proof treatment. Additionally, some countries may have fumigation requirements for wooden packaging, but honeycomb board is generally regarded as a paper product and is not subject to such restrictions.
