Corner Casting

Corner Casting is a standard connecting piece installed at the eight corners of logistics equipment such as containers, tank containers, and swap bodies. It is usually made of cast steel, with holes and bevels, used for lifting, stacking, securing, and lashing. Its dimensions and strength must comply with international standards such as ISO 1161. In foreign trade, corner castings are commonly seen in container export, leasing, repair, and accessory trading scenarios, and are key components for customs classification, commodity inspection, and transport safety. Notes: Corner castings are dedicated container parts; when importing/exporting, the material, specifications (e.g., ISO standard or non-standard), and whether they come with locks must be clearly stated; if exported separately, the customs code is usually classified under headings 7325 or 7326, rather than as a complete container. Unlike the 'Corner Post', the corner casting is a connecting node, while the corner post is a longitudinal structural member; it is used together with the 'Twist Lock', but the twist lock is the securing device and the corner casting is the load-bearing component.
