Warranty Coverage

Warranty Coverage refers to the specific scope of free repair or replacement services provided by the seller or manufacturer for a product under certain conditions and within a certain period. In foreign trade contracts, this term clearly defines which parts, which types of faults, and which usage conditions are covered by the warranty, as well as which situations (such as human damage, improper use, natural disasters) are excluded. Usage scenarios include sales contracts, quality assurance certificates, after-sales service agreements, etc. Notes: It is necessary to specify the warranty period (e.g., 12 months), the starting time (date of shipment or date of arrival), the warranty method (repair, replacement, refund), cost bearing (freight, labor costs), and exemption clauses. Unlike 'Quality Assurance', which focuses on the quality control system during production, warranty coverage is the concretization of after-sales commitments; unlike 'Warranty Period', which only refers to the length of time, warranty coverage encompasses multiple dimensions such as time, parts, and conditions. Foreign trade practitioners should avoid vague expressions such as 'reasonable warranty' and instead specify them concretely to prevent disputes.
