Payment Account

Order Payment Account (Payment Account) refers to the bank account designated by the buyer in the order for paying the goods, or the account provided by the seller to the buyer for receiving payment. In international trade, it is a key link in transaction security and usually appears in contracts, proforma invoices, or payment terms. Usage scenarios include: the buyer remits the payment to the seller's designated account as agreed, or the seller receives payment through a platform (such as letter of credit, telegraphic transfer) to the buyer's designated payment account. Precautions: must verify account name, account number, SWIFT code, etc., to avoid fraud or wrong remittance; need to clarify the account currency and opening bank; different from 'receiving account', the payment account emphasizes the payment path from the buyer's perspective, while the receiving account emphasizes the collection path from the seller's perspective. Difference: the payment account may involve the buyer's account on a third-party payment platform (such as PayPal), while the receiving account is usually the seller's bank account. Practitioners should ensure that the account information is consistent with the contract and keep payment vouchers.
