Contract Quality Guarantee Committee Form

The Contract Quality Guarantee Committee Form (CQGC Form) is a formal document used in international trade to record and confirm the composition, responsibilities, and procedural rules of the Contract Quality Guarantee Committee (CQGC). This committee is typically composed of representatives jointly appointed by the buyer and seller, responsible for overseeing quality standards during contract execution, handling quality disputes, approving quality assurance plans and acceptance criteria, etc. It is commonly used in large-scale complete equipment, engineering projects, or long-term supply contracts, especially when the contract amount is high, technology is complex, and quality risks are significant, to strengthen quality control. Precautions: The form must specify the number of committee members, the nomination ratio of both parties, the rotation method of the chairperson, voting mechanisms, meeting frequency, and record-keeping requirements; it should be attached as an appendix to the contract and have the same legal effect as the main contract; avoid confusion with the 'Quality Assurance Agreement,' which contains substantive quality clauses, whereas this form is a procedural governance document. The difference from the 'Inspection Committee' is that the latter focuses on incoming inspection, while the Quality Guarantee Committee covers the entire process from design, production, delivery, to after-sales.
