Campus Notice: The university will extend library hours to 24/7 during finals week, starting next Monday. The extension will apply to the main library only, and additional security staff will be on duty. The administration believes this will reduce stress and improve academic performance during exams.

Woman: Did you see the notice about the library staying open all night during finals? Man: Yeah, but I think it's a terrible idea. First, the main library is already noisy and crowded during the day; at night, it'll be even worse with more students cramming, and I can't concentrate in that environment. Second, I doubt the extra security will help—there have been thefts recently, and I worry about leaving my laptop unattended while I take a break. I'd rather they spent money on more quiet study spaces instead.
