Announcement: Starting next semester, the university will extend library hours to 24/5 (Sunday night through Friday night) and remain open until 10 PM on Saturdays. This change is designed to accommodate students' diverse study schedules, especially during midterms and finals. Additionally, a new quiet study floor will be added to the third floor, strictly enforced to minimize distractions. The extended hours will require additional staffing, funded by a small increase in the student technology fee.

Plus, the quiet floor will just move the noise elsewhere—people who want to chat will crowd the other floors, and that will make it harder for group study sessions. I prefer the current setup where noise is spread out.
