Campus Announcement: Starting next semester, the university will require all first-year students to live in on-campus dormitories. This policy aims to foster a stronger sense of community and improve academic support for new students. To accommodate this, the university will renovate two existing dorm buildings and increase resident advisor staff by 50%. Students currently living on campus will not be affected by this change.

M: Did you see the email about requiring all freshmen to live on campus? I think it's a terrible idea. W: Really? I thought it might help them adjust to college life. What's your problem with it? M: First, there's not enough space. They're going to renovate two buildings, but that won't be enough for the incoming class. Many freshmen will end up in crowded rooms, which could hurt their studies. W: But they're adding more RAs too. M: That's my second point. More RAs won't solve the real issue—freshmen should have the freedom to choose where they live. Forcing them to live on campus takes away their independence and might make them feel more restricted, not more connected. I think the university should focus on better orientation programs instead.
