Campus Announcement: Starting next semester, the university library will extend its hours to 24/5 (Sunday through Thursday nights). M: But what about students who have part-time jobs on weekends? They rely on those long weekend hours to catch up on reading.
W: That's true, but most students I know study more during the week. Plus, on weekends, we have the student center and other coffee shops open late. The library's new 24-hour option during the week helps the majority.
M: I still think it's unfair to those weekend workers. Some of us only have free time on Saturdays and Sundays.
W: I get that, but I think the trade-off is worth it. I personally prefer studying late at night, and I know many others do too. The extended weekday hours will reduce crowding and give us more flexibility.
