In many developed countries, young people bear an increasingly heavy burden of pensions and healthcare costs to support a growing elderly population. At the same time, some argue that a fairer approach would be to prioritize resources for children and youth, as they represent the future of society. Do you believe that intergenerational equity should prioritize the needs of the younger generation, or is protecting the welfare of the elderly equally non-negotiable?
