However, recent studies show that increased traffic and habitat fragmentation have led to a decline in their numbers, especially in densely built areas. Interestingly, fox populations have stabilized in suburbs where gardens provide shelter. So, while urban foxes are resilient, their survival depends on the availability of green spaces and reduced human disturbance.
