Interestingly, the researchers found that people living within 300 meters of a park or garden reported significantly lower levels of stress and anxiety. However, the benefit was only observed when the green space had trees and natural vegetation, not just mowed grass. The study also noted that the positive effect was stronger for residents who visited the space at least once a week. So, it's not just having green areas nearby, but actively using them that matters.
