Today we're going to discuss how urban green spaces affect mental health. A recent study followed 1,000 adults over five years. Researchers found that people living within 300 meters of a park or garden reported 20% lower stress levels. Interestingly, the effect was stronger for those who visited the space at least twice a week. However, the type of green space mattered: community gardens had a greater impact than large, manicured lawns. The study also noted that even small tree-lined streets contributed to improved mood, but the most significant benefits came from spaces with diverse plant life.
