One-time Delivery

Customer-managed one-time delivery refers to a trade arrangement in which the seller delivers all goods to the buyer in a single shipment at a time specified in the contract. This term is commonly used when the customer requires consolidated receipt, seeks to reduce split logistics costs, or makes project-based purchases, such as sample orders, small-batch orders, or project surplus materials. When using this term, note the following: the delivery time must be clear, usually expressed as a specific date or 'within X days after receipt of advance payment'; the point of risk transfer must be determined in conjunction with trade terms such as FOB or CIF; if all goods cannot be fully prepared by the agreed time, it may constitute a breach of contract. Compared with 'partial shipment,' one-time delivery does not allow shipment in batches; if a letter of credit states 'partial shipment not allowed,' all goods must be delivered at once. Unlike 'installment delivery,' which involves multiple deliveries in stages, one-time delivery is completed only once. Foreign trade practitioners should clearly allow or prohibit partial shipment in the contract and verify whether the buyer's warehouse or project site can receive all goods at one time, so as to avoid additional costs or rejection due to insufficient unloading or storage capacity.
