Form P (China-Peru)

FORM P is a certificate of origin under the China-Peru Free Trade Agreement, officially known as the Certificate of Origin under the China-Peru Free Trade Agreement. It is issued by an authorized body of the exporting country to certify that goods originate in China or Peru, thereby enjoying preferential tariff rates in the importing country. Usage scenario: When a Chinese exporter exports goods to a Peruvian customer, if the Peruvian importer wishes to obtain tariff reduction, they need to apply for FORM P. Notes: 1) The certificate must be issued before or at the time of export, usually applied for before shipment; 2) The content of the certificate must be consistent with the commercial invoice, packing list, etc.; 3) The validity period is generally 12 months from the date of issuance; 4) Goods must comply with the China-Peru FTA rules of origin, such as wholly obtained or meeting the regional value content threshold; 5) One certificate corresponds to one batch of goods. Differences from other terms: FORM P applies only to China-Peru trade, distinct from the Generalized System of Preferences Certificate of Origin FORM A (for developed countries), China-ASEAN FTA FORM E, etc. Enterprises need to accurately classify HS codes to avoid certificate rejection.
