Anti-Static Tray

Anti-Static Tray is a container used for storing and transporting static-sensitive products such as electronic components and PCB boards. Its material is usually conductive or static-dissipative plastic, which can effectively prevent static accumulation and discharge, avoiding damage to components. In foreign trade, this term is commonly used in electronics, semiconductors, precision instruments, and other industries. Buyers will explicitly require the tray's surface resistance value (e.g., 10^6-10^9Ω) and compliance with standards (e.g., ANSI/ESD S20.20). The difference from ordinary plastic trays is that anti-static trays have permanent anti-static performance, not just a surface coating; compared with conductive trays, their resistance value is higher, and discharge is slower, making them suitable for occasions that are static-sensitive but not extremely sensitive. Note: When exporting, an anti-static test report is required, and attention should be paid to the environmental requirements for anti-static materials in different countries (e.g., RoHS). In addition, the term is often confused with 'ESD tray' and 'conductive tray', but strictly speaking, anti-static refers to dissipating static electricity, while conductive refers to quickly conducting static electricity away, and they must be accurately distinguished according to customer requirements.
