Blister Shell

Blister Shell is a foreign trade packaging term that refers to a plastic shell with specific concave-convex shapes formed by heating and softening a transparent plastic sheet (such as PVC, PET, PS, etc.) and vacuum-adsorbing it onto a mold through the blister process. It is usually used in conjunction with a paper card (such as a backing card or insert card) to secure the product in between, forming blister packaging. Usage scenarios: commonly used for retail packaging of small consumer goods such as hardware tools, electronic accessories, toys, stationery, and small appliances, convenient for hanging display on supermarket shelves, combining protection and display functions. Notes: it is necessary to specify the blister shell material, thickness, size, color (transparent or colored), printing requirements, and the sealing method with the paper card (heat sealing or stapling); different materials affect the environmental protection level and cost, e.g., PET is recyclable, PVC is low-cost but poor in environmental friendliness. Difference from 'Blister': Blister usually refers to pharmaceutical blister packaging (aluminum-plastic blister), while Blister Shell emphasizes the formed hard shell; difference from 'Blister Box': Blister Box generally refers to a complete container with a bottom and a lid, while Blister Shell mostly refers to a single-sided formed sheet that needs to be combined with a paper card.
